Rainy Sunday

We went for a walk with Stripe this afternoon. Wow! It was rainy. We actually went pretty far. Mom and dad were looking at some pretty cool looking houses along the way. It keep raining harder and harder. Mom didn't wear an appropriate coat. She should have worn a better coat that would keep the rain and wind out. Dad usually wear the right stuff. I can understand how a person would maybe leave the house with the wrong clothing. This time of year you never know what the weather will be like. One minute it is raining and the next it is snowing or sunny! We toweled off after we got back to Cindy's (Stripe's Mom). I gave her a lot of kisses and got her all wet in the process. She gave mom and dad a nice bottle of wine and a card. She said she really appreciated what we do for her and Stripe. Afterwards we went shopping. I just waited in the truck. I was pretty tired. I had two walk today. Jack and Buddy went on the first one. They are such pals! Ttyl

Saturday Walk

Well, we went for a fun walk in the canyon near our house. We all rode over there in the truck. I was so excited! I couldn't wait to jump out and smell where all the other dogs had marked. For a short time we were on our leashes, but then when it was safe and we were on the dirt trail, Mom and Dad let us off lease. I ran ahead and picked up a stick. I love to do that. My favorite trick is to take sticks from Buddy. I let him do all the work and then I steal it when he brings it back to dad, then I take all the credit (at least I try). We ran fast chasing each other. Buddy is pretty fast, but when I want to I can go at least as fast. I can run for longer periods of time. Buddy gets pretty tired. I noticed he has lost weight since I have been around. We saw some dogs along the way. Mom and dad put us on leash when other dogs are around. I bark as loud as I can to scare these dogs off. Dad doesn't like me barking. I try to relax, but a dog has to do what a dog has to do! We went past the bridge and turned around. It was pretty cool out. It was a nice temp for us dogs, since we ran a lot, but I am sure it was more cold for mom and dad, since they were walking. Jack walked along pretty good. He does pretty well for not being able to see very well. Tomarrow we will go and take Stripe the Greyhound for a walk. I like him. I will wite about our fun times after that walk too! Later!

Lazy Morning

Buddy and Jack (before bite, last summer)

Well, so far we haven't done much today. My brother Buddy bit my brother Jack on the face. I am sure there was a reason why. I think that maybe Jack, being blind, stepped on Buddy and Buddy got upset. Dad put some alcohol on it and is getting ready to apply some antibiotic ointment. I am sure he will be fine. Jack is super tough. Blind..but tough. I heard Dad say he was going to clean up the back yard, before taking us on a walk. The walk should be fun. I love to chase Buddy around. He is soooo nice to put up with me!

Soooo Excited!

I am so excited to have my own blog. My dad is going to help me, so that will be fun. I am going to write about fun things that I do in the course of a normal day plus all the fun stuff I do with my family. My dad's name is Greg. My mom's name is Kathy. I have two brothers, Jack and Buddy. They are yellow. Both are Labradors. Jack is an older dog. Unfortunately, he has diabetes. My mom and dad are getting it under control though. Jack seems to be happy. As a result of the diabetes, Jack became mostly blind. He bumps into things sometimes. We are one happy family. I am so glad that they all moved over here to central Oregon. I would not have liked to live in Portland. I hear it is rainy there! I love the sun!
